Mardi Himal Trek is newly open trekking rout in Annapurna region. It suited just east of the most popular trek of Nepal, the Annapurna Base camp Trek. It is a good alternative to escape away for crowded trek of Annapurna with stunning views and duration similar to Ghorepani- Poonhil trekking.

Mardi Himal trek is lowest and perhaps least visited of the trekking peak in Nepal. While trekking in this trekking rout, leading up to the Mardi Himal Base camp, finally the high camp  we get to appreciate the introverted trails complete with abundant forests, pleasing villages, valleys, terraced farms, astounding rivers and the surprising views of the Annapurna, Machhapuchre (Fishtail) and Hiunchuli mountains.

In short, Mardi Himal trek is a short trek in the Annapurna region where we can stay in teahouse, try local foods, enjoying with  excellent hill and mountain landscape; and marvel at the panoramic views of the massive Himalayan mountain including Mardi Himal, Fishtail mountain, Annapurna and Himchuli.

A Taleju Adventure  representative will be there to pick us up from the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. We take a short drive from the airport to our hotel. After a short rest, we can visit Taleju Adventure’s  office to discuss more about the trek. In the evening, or we can have discuss on your hotel as per your convenient, we have Nepalese cuisine at a welcome dinner hosted by Taleju Adventure. Overnight in Kathmandu.

After short introduction with our tour guide, today we are having tour to Kathmandu UNSCIO world heritage site with our tour guide which include Pasupatinath Temple “Nepal biggest Hindu temple” it is also place for the body crimination of Hindu religion. Then we drive to Bouddhanathstupawhch is nearby Pasupatinath temple. Bouddhanath is Asian biggest stupa. It was damage by earthquake on 2015 AD however, it is completely repaired recently. Then after we drive to Swyambhunathstpua, popularly known by “monkey temple” this stupa is on the small hill where we can see the whole Kathmandu valley from there. At last we drive to Patan durbar square,“Ancient Royal Palace”. Inside the square you can see different Hindu temple which are bhimesh temple, vishwonath temple, TalejuBhawani temple and Krinsna Temple which is most popular temple among them. Beside it you can study the Newar architecture, arts and their culture where, our tour guide help you to describe about its history of every place. Overnight at Kathmandu

After breakfast we drive to   Pokhara -210 Km/5-6 hrs,  we can enjoy the beautifully terrace farms, raging Trisuli River and little shop by the side of road. Also on the way we have chance to visit Manakamana (Hindu goddess   of willing) is a temple of one of the manifestations of the Hindu goddess   Bhagwati. Bhagwati is believed to have the power to fulfill wishes. Where to   go by cable car, it is 2.8 Km from down station to upbeat station It takes 12   min for one way. After having puja & darshan continues drive to Pokhara. Evening free time for individual activities.   Overnight at Pokhara.

After an early morning breakfast at hotel, our adventure will start with a drive to Kande and start trekking from there. We walk on stone steps and forests before reaching Australian Camp where we have lunch. We continue our walk to Deurali which is a small village beautifully located on a ridge with good views of the Annapurna South, Mardi Himal and Macchhapuchhare. Overnight in Deurali.

Our trail passes through green forest sprinkled with the red rhododendrons. The flowers are a common sight in Nepalese hills and it is no surprise that its Nepal’s national flower. Our trail is very quiet until we reach a clearing of the forest camp. We can take rest and explore the area which is also known locally as Kokar. Overnight in Forest Camp.

We continue to walk through dense forests admiring Nepal’s rich biodiversity and reach the low camp. From here, the fantastic view of Mt. Machapuchhre (Mt. Fishtail) up the valley is breathtaking. We can spend some time in the evening observing the local lifestyle. Overnight in low camp.

We trek uphill alongside a ridge towards Mardi Himal and Macchhapuchhre. The tree lines start getting thinner and the area mostly consists of shrubs with isolated rhododendron bushes along the trail. If lucky, we might even come across the Daphne pheasant (national bird of Nepal) on our way to high camp. We ascend up to the high camp, which the final destination of the day. From here the mountain views are stunning. Overnight in high camp.

On our trek to the upper viewpoint we ascend and descend, and sometimes on a steep and narrow trail. Our trail passes through pastures and we hike along a narrow ridge before reaching the Upper Viewpoint. The view of the Himalayan vista from here is astonishing. We see Mardi Himal (5587m), Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna south (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Baraha Shikhar (Mt. Fang) (7647m), Tent Peak (5695m), Singhachuli (6501m), Machapuchhre (6993m) and others. We trek back to the high camp for an overnight stay.

We take a different route in high camp that takes us to Sidhing instead of going back down to Mardi Himal. The different route lets us experience something different and makes our trek exciting.  Siddhing offers a quiet stay for trekkers as it is tucked away from the busier trails. Overnight in Siddhing.

After an early breakfast, we walk towards Lumre finally reaching the road from where we begin our drive to Pokhara. After reaching the city, we continue our drive to its domestic airport and fly back to Kathmandu. Someone from Himalayan Glacier will pick us from the airport and drop us off at our hotel. We take a rest and freshen up. In the evening, there will be a farewell dinner to celebrate the successful completion of our Mardi Himal Trek. Overnight in Kathmandu.
