Then we will check in at the hotel, refresh and rest. In the evening, a welcome dinner will be organized by the Taleju Adventure. Overnight in Kathmandu.

We take a scheduled early morning flight to Lukla, the starting point where of all Everest trek begins. We meet the rest of our team in Lukla and start our trekking from there. We walk on a path that gradually descends to the village of Cheplung from where we see the Mt. Khumbila, a sacred mountain that has never been climbed. From there, we descend gradually until we reach Phakding. Overnight at Phakding.

Our path crosses a pine forest and we continue our way on the road that goes up to the north in the valley of Benkar. We crossed the Dudh Koshi River and passed through the villages of Chumoa and Monjo before arriving at the entrance of the Everest National Park. After entering the park, we climbed a steep path with incredible views. Going further, we arrive at Namche Bazaar, the largest city in the Everest region. We will spend the night in the Namche bazaar.

Spending an extra day in Namche Bazaar will help us get used to the high altitude and the decrease of oxygen in the air. We visit the main city of Everest or Khumbu, where there are government offices, ATMs, cybercafé’s, local shops, restaurants and a colourful market. We can hike to the Sagarmatha National Park and enjoy the sunrise over the Himalayas, including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kongde and so on. If we are interested in a day hike, we can walk to the village of Khumjung. Today we also visit the Hillary school and a monastery that is houses of a scalp. We will spend the night in the Namche bazaar.

This segment of the trek includes the famous descent to the Dudh-Koshi River and the equally famous climb along the rhododendron forests to Tengboche. Going down to the Dudh Kish River, we enjoy the view of the mountain peaks such as Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde, etc. Upon reaching Tengboche, we visit the Tengboche Monastery, the largest monastery in the area, and enjoy the views of Everest, Ama Dablam and other peaks. Night in Tengboche.

We descend and walk through forests populated by a variety of luxuriant trees: birches, conifers and rhododendrons. This trip rewards us again with an impressive view of the Mt. Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. The scenic path descends to Devuche, crosses the Imja River and takes us to Pangboche. The trails at the top of Pangboche reward us with a more pristine view of the Himalayas and the Pangboche Monastery. The walk advances towards the valley of Imja, the Lobuche River and finally, it begins to raise to Dingboche. Night in Dingboche.

Dingboche is a popular stop for hikers and mountaineers heading to Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam or Imja Tse. The village is beautiful, with a variety of fields surrounded by stone walls to protect barley, buckwheat and potatoes from cold wind and grazing animals. We spent a day in Dingboche to acclimatize. We make day trips on Nagarjun hill or Chukkhung valley where we can enjoy the wonderful views of Makalu, Lhotse, Chalotse, Tawache and Ama Dablam.

We start the day with a gradual ascent to Duglha at the end of the Moraine Terminal of Khumbu Glacier. From there, we climb a steep path to Chupki Lhara, where we find a series of stones with prayer flags used as memorials by Scott Fischer (American mountaineer) and Babu Chiri Sherpa (Nepal Mountain Guide) who perished on a mission to climb Everest. We continue towards the Khumbu Moraine glacier and we face several great peaks: Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori and Mahalangur Himal. The path relaxes as we follow the valley towards Lobuche. Night in Lobuche.

We take the road to Everest base camp through the vast lake Gorak Shep. Continuing straight, we find the Indian army mountaineers' memorials. The road from here can be deceiving; therefore, it is important that we follow our Sherpa guide diligently. Walking is painful due to the rarefied air at high altitude. We cross rocky dunes, moraines and streams before arriving at Everest base camp. Upon arriving at the base camp of Everest, we see tents of mountaineers that stand out in bright colors against the monotony of gray environments (especially in the spring). Nuptse, Khumbuste and Pumori are the mountains visible from the base camp. We return to Gorak Shep for a good night's sleep. Overnight in Gorak Shep.

We are preparing for an early start in the dark and cold temperatures before dawn (-10 to -14 ° C). In addition, there is always the possibility of cold winds that are quite common. Famous peaks such as Lingtren, Khumbutse and Changtse Tower are visible to the east as Everest begins to reveal itself. But when arriving at Kalapatthar (5,545 m), we can see 360 degrees to the near and a great view of the Mt.Everest. We take a picture, take advantage and enjoy the magnificent panorama view of the mountain and then returned to Gorak Shep for a good night's sleep.

Participants visiting Everest base camp today will have an early breakfast, since the Everest base camp walk takes longer than the Kalapatthar base camp walk. We walk down to Gorak Shep and take a helicopter ride to Lukla. We fly over the serene waters of Lake Gokyo, which has a profound cultural significance for the Nepalese. After admiring the immense beauty of the lake, we continue our helicopter trip to Lukla. Overnight in Lukla.

We take a scheduled early morning flight back to Kathmandu, after our long journey in the mountains. After arriving in Kathmandu, we can rest or do some souvenir shopping or might even we can explore other areas of Kathmandu if you are interested. Our guides can help you with your purchases of souvenirs or sightseeing. There will be a farewell dinner in the evening organised by Taleju Adventure to celebrate the success of our trip. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Our adventure on Everest in Nepal ends today. A representative from the Taleju Adventure will drop you off at the Tribhuwan International Airport a few hours before the scheduled flight.
